Requirements

Admission Criteria

Admission to this program is limited. Students must be fluent in English (including reading and writing), computer literate, and have access to a computer with a valid email account. Experience in an auditing related capacity is required as this program is a preparation program for the Certified Internal Auditor national exam. Tuition must be paid in full prior to the program start date.

Completion Requirements

To earn a certificate of course completion for each course in which enrolled: students must achieve a minimum score of 70 on each course final exam and attend 70% of each course that requires multiple meetings.*

*Courses that are only one day in duration (i.e. Course IV is a one day course) require 100% attendance.

Completion of this certificate noncredit certificate program, while excellent preparation for the exam, does not guarantee success on the certification exam itself. Students should be prepared to study outside the classroom.

Admission to, and completion of, any part or all of the Duke IA Certificate Program courses does not guarantee eligibility for the national CIA exams. Please note that to earn the CIA designation, candidates must meet predefined criteria.
