How should the curriculum for teaching a class and tutoring an individual student be different? What is appropriate for a formal class? For a community program? Explore the core components for developing a whole course in this essential, practical workshop. Cynthia Fettig has been working in the ESL field for 17 years. Her teaching experience includes teaching general and business English in Japan and Spain, teaching English for Academic Purposes at Cornell University and NC State, and teaching survival English skills to immigrants and refugees in the United States. She has been a teacher trainer in various settings including the public schools and as the director of a language school in Tokyo. She holds a Master's degree in TESOL from the School for International Training.
