| Pre-requisites: ESL Teaching Methods, Four Skills, and Classroom Dynamics In this class, students who are nearing completion of the ESL/EFL Certificate program will complete ten hours of practice teaching or tutoring, as well as a teaching journal and reflection paper. NOTE: Students MUST have a pre-arranged teaching situation prior to the first class and are required to bring a videotape of themselves teaching to the first class session. For more details on course requirements and proper video formatting, see your student handbook or contact our office. NO ABSENCES ARE PERMITTED IN ORDER TO EARN CREDIT. Emma Dempsey has her Master's in Education with a specialization in ESL and has taught ESL for 15 years in a variety of settings, including public and private schools at the primary and secondary levels. She has also taught workplace ESL, adult continuing education and basic skills classes, TOEFL preparation courses, Intensive English programs, and conducted private tutoring. | ||
