Admission to this program is limited. Students must be fluent in English (including reading and writing).
Completion Requirements
To earn the Duke Certificate students must attend the entire 4-day program and complete all test and assignments,(5 module tests and a final exam), with a minimum score of 70.* Please note prior to the first day of class students should read the module books that will be shipped within 2 weeks of the review start date.
*The certificate is noncredit and does not apply toward a degree.
The typical student to enroll in this program is an PHR/SPHR level professional, seeking preparation for the national GPHR examination. This person will have or had responsibilities the area of Development and implementing global HR strategies, Managing HR operations overseas and International assignment management .
Admission to, and completion of the Duke Certificate in Global Human Resources, does not guarantee eligibility for the national GPHR exam. The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) governs the policies, processes and administration of the national examinations and does require a 2 year minimum level of exempt international hr related work experience to qualify for the national GPHR exam. Students applying to the Duke Global HR Certificate Program whose intent is to pursue their GPHR certification should consult with HRCI (www.hrci.org) to ascertain if they meet the national exam eligibility experience requirements.
