Paralegal Studies - Classroom

Overview

CLASSROOM PROGRAM

Fall/Spring Programs
The classroom program is offered on Duke's Campus in Durham and at Montreat College in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The fall and spring Classroom-Based Paralegal Programs offer working adults the opportunity to earn the Duke Paralegal Certificate by attending classes on evenings and weekends. Classes are held two nights a week, plus five all-day Saturday sessions. If you thrive in a classroom setting where you can work with and learn from other students, as well as an instructor, then the classroom-based program is for you.

Summer Intensive Program
Our unique, month-long Summer Intensive Program will be offered in June and allow you to earn your Duke Paralegal Certificate in only one month! Designed with the recent college graduate in mind, this daytime program will allow students to complete four months of study in five weeks of full-time, focused training. The Summer Intensive program is the quickest way to earn a highly respected certificate and enter the job market as a skilled professional.

Our curriculum is comprehensive. When students finish our program they are ready to go to work. Our curriculum covers topics rarely covered in other paralegal programs and doesn't waste time on filler. The skill-based format of the Duke Paralegal Program provides students with practical training in preparation for the workplace. Each student finishes the program with a client file filled with documents about his or her case - all drafted over the course of the program. This client file serves as a showpiece for interviews and provides students with an end product that represents the skills they have acquired through the program. The classroom programs and the online program share the same curriculum.
