David Burns

David Burns practices in the areas of estate and tax planning, estate administration and elder law. His experience includes the preparation of simple and complex estate planning documents, representing clients in estate administration matters and advising clients of the transfer tax consequences of various estate planning transactions. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, David practiced in New York at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

David received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University, where he served as Note and Comment Editor of the Albany Law Review and a chair of the Moot Court Board.David received his M.B.A., with honors, from The College of Saint Rose and his B.A. in political science from Geneseo State University of New York. David is also a member of the Order of Barristers.

Milan T. Pham

Milan T. Pham is the founding Director of North Carolina Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program, a statewide community development initiative of the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation.  A member of the American Bar Association Business Law Section and featured presenter at the 2008 ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference, Milan speaks frequently at a national and statewide level about legal issues impacting small business, community and economic development, wealth building in disenfranchised communities and providing legal services to limited English proficient communities.  Prior to joining the Bar Association Foundation, she directed the Department of Human Rights and Relations for Orange County where her practice involved employment, public accommodations and housing discrimination.

Milan received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1999. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Maryland (inactive) and was recently named to the 2008-2010 Friday Fellowship for Human Relations class.

Jillian Williams-Moore

Jillian Williams-Moore began her legal career at the law firm of Hall, Rodgers, and Gaylord, where she practiced as an associate attorney in insurance defense.  Ms. Moore received her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law.  While in law school, Jillian participated in the Black Law Student Association and Sports Law Society. 

Jillian received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from North Carolina A&T State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  While at A&T, Jillian was inducted into the International English Honor Society- Sigma Tau Delta and into the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Currently, Jillian is completing her Master’s of Library and Information Science at Drexel University.  She works at North Carolina Central University School of Law where she serves as the Collection Development Librarian and teaches legal research and persuasion.
