Staying in Touch
OLLI at Duke keeps members informed and connected to the program in a number of ways.
Members can always check out the latest news and find flyers and sign-up sheets for groups and activities on our bulletin boards, located at The Bishop’s House and the Judea Reform Education Building.
OLLI’s staff, instructors, class assistants and leaders send out occasional e-mails to the membership to inform them of breaking news. Please contact Mary Edwards at 919-681-3476 or at mary.edwards@duke.edu to make sure that we have your e-mail address if you want to receive these notices.
The OLLI Communications Committee, headed by Betty Hopkins, prints three newsletters annually, whose content is provided and edited by the membership. Members receive print copies in their class confirmation packets, and the newsletter is also posted and archived on this website. The newsletter highlights people, classes, and developments significant to our program and includes samples of student writing generated in OLLI classes.
The OLLI Spotlight is an online newsletter edited by Ken Parker and distributed approximately twice a month while OLLI classes are in session. The Spotlight advises students of issues and events important to the membership.
