1767 - Exploring Ethics: Debating Contemporary Moral Issues
We will be reading essays by ethicists arguing each side of several important ethical issues: the morality of abortion, whether euthanasia should ever be practiced, how we should respond to world hunger, what counts as terrorism, and whether the use of torture can be justified. We will also look into several of the theories about how moral decisions can reasonably be made.
