What is a good story, well told? Modern studies in neuroscience, evolution, mythology and drama give us great new tools to improve the impact of our story telling and writing. We'll ask core writing questions: how does the writer gain and maintain the interest of the reader? How does story change the reader? Does writing change the writer? How can we use this information to help our readers and our selves? Each student will apply this information to the writing and development of one story throughout the semester.
