Qi Gong (pronounce "chee" "gong") is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for centuries to heal and strengthen the mind and body. The practice focuses on body alignment, breathing, visualization and self massage to help move Qi, or vital life energy, throughout the body. The gentle, meditative movements calm and relax the body and mind to maintain or restore optimal health and vitality. Each class will include didactic as well as practice time of various Qigong forms. This is a great way to "get in the zone" before your next workout, tennis, golf or majong tournament. We will be standing to practice, but modifications can easily be made for seated participants. Please wear comfortable shoes and loose clothing. Lecture (plus Questions) Exercise or Dance
