GMAT Preparation Class

Give yourself the competitive edge with this convenient, cost effective preparation class. Many schools combine your GPA with your test score to produce an index which is then used as an indicator of your ability to succeed as an MBA candidate. This course helps you prepare by covering:

Reading Comprehension
The GMAT requires that you read passages quickly and critically. You will learn to actively evaluate the structure and details of text to help you select the correct answers for the types of questions most frequently asked.

Essay Writing
Two essay questions - one issue-related and one critical-thinking oriented - are now part of the GMAT. Given that each essay topic is designed to allow for demonstration of communication skills, review for this part of the test will stress organization and clarity as well as grammatically correct writing.

Data Sufficiency & Discrete Quantitative
These sections test your knowledge of mathematical concepts such as compound interest, weighted averages, retail markups, factoring polynomials, and principles of right triangles. Sharpening your skills in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry will position you well on this section.

Critical Reasoning
You will practice performing the reasoning tasks that are necessary to solve these types of problems.

Texts are handed out at the first session of each course. All materials are included in course fees.
The GMAT is now available only in the computerized format. To register for the test, select an exam date and call 1-800-462-8669 to make an appointment for that date at the nearest testing center.
