Biosciences & Engineering Camp

Staff

Under the direction of Dr. Gary Ybarra, director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Pratt School of Engineering and Dr. George Truskey, Professor and Chair, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Pratt School of Engineering --Duke graduate students and undergraduate assistants will work closely with participants on laboratory assignments and other activities that are designed to enhance their understanding of biotechnical and electrical principles. An on site manager will coordinate the academic life and serve as a liaison between the academic program and the residential program.

The Youth Programs' residential staff members are mature, talented, and enthusiastic graduate and undergraduate students, who supervise campers in the residential hall and at other out-of-class times, such as meals, free times, and special events. The residential counselors also plan and lead a variety of social and recreational activities.
