Course Description
We know the effects of COVID: Isolated from family and friends, we miss their personal presence and hugs. Loneliness may set in. Activities that once structured our days and gave them meaning are gone. We feel those losses as creativity and zest drain away. Anxiety permeates our culture and consciousness. We long to gather with friends, laugh, sing, play, worship, work, attend classes in person, shop, and feel free and secure. We want that for our children, grandchildren, and others as well. Positive psychology, including the new science of awe, provides tools to help us not only survive but thrive. Preparation each week will include reading a short paper, viewing an online video, and considering several questions to start our class discussions, some of which will be in smaller breakout groups. You can expect lively, engaging discussions, laughter, and new insights among friends who have similar interests, as well as time for personal reflection to put it all together for yourself. | Facilitated discussion.Loading...
