Yoga nidra offers a systematic approach to relaxation. Research has shown that yoga nidra can get people into the same brain wave pattern as deep sleep while they remain aware. Students often remark on how relaxed and refreshed they feel after a 30-minute practice. Through lecture, gentle movement, guided breathing, and yoga nidra, students will learn about and experience specific techniques that they can use in their own practice. Each class will have a different focus. The practice will always include deep relaxation, but, for example, it may focus on general healing, improving cognition, or connecting to the heart.
