Course Description

ONLINE: Join us to explore the deeper dimensions of yoga that go beyond the physical into the emotional, cognitive, and spiritual heart of the practice. During this online course, we will cover key aspects of the yoga tradition, including principles (such as nonharming and gratitude), energetics and the subtle body (koshas, chakras), and breathing (prana, nadis). Studying this ancient discipline and practice will help you develop an awareness designed to quiet the mind and help you connect with your true self. Classes will begin with a lecture (PowerPoint) and conclude with a yoga practice. No yoga experience is required, and practices will consist of gentle movements designed to be appropriate for most older adults who are living independently.
