This camp addresses two primary areas of study within the neurosciences:
- cognitive neuroscience
- social, emotional/affective neuroscience
In addition to focusing on these two areas of study through their classes, students will learn about the broader field of neuroscience through presentations and laboratory tours from researchers affiliated with Duke, especially those working within the topics of these presentations and tours will include perception, decision-making, morality and neurotechnologies like brain-machine interfaces. Students will also develop a core understanding of central nervous system anatomy and functioning.
