Each session, the scientific foundations of a different health-related topic will be presented. This semester the topics will include: (1) exercise and the brain; (2) bone health; (3) how much exercise is needed to prevent inactivity-related diseases; (4) mindful eating; (5) lessons from Chinese health care; (6) the patient voice in drug approval and reimbursement decisions; (7) economic factors in drug reimbursement; (8) the historical relationship of Duke Health and the health of Durham; (9) body weight and composition; (10) what to eat and why.
