Coalitions have been in existence for thousands of years shaping governments and communities around the world. This course willexamine how coalitions are developed and the significant role they play in influencing policy, global governance, and populationbehavior change. Class topics will include coalitions in relation to global public heath, international affairs, global security, and complexcommunity systems. We'll review and discuss the history and role of coalitions in government and communities; how coalitions are developed; and how coalitions can be used to affect perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors for social change.
