All administrative agencies are regulated. The laws governing agencies are called rules or regulations. This class instructs students in the legislative power of agencies, agency enforcement, adjudication within the agency environment, as well as executive, judicial, and legislative control of agencies.

Graduates of the Duke Paralegal Certificate Program and Duke Paralegal Online Certificate Program are eligible to receive a $800 discount on each specialist certificate course. Tuition must be paid in full before a student can start the program. Books are purchased separately and range between $45 and $160 per book. When registration is complete, the student will receive an email containing a username and password to the program's website, information on purchasing textbooks, and instructor and support contact information.
PrerequisitesA degree or certificate in paralegal studies is required OR a bachelor's or associate's degree in any field AND a minimum of three years work experience as a paralegal under the direct supervision of an attorney.
