Facilities Management is responsible for the stewardship of Duke University. A staff of over 575 people oversee construction and renovations, provide utilities, maintain the buildings and their infrastructure, keep them clean, and ensure the grounds and athletic fields are well groomed. The department is tasked with preserving Duke University's heritage while planning for its future.
