Gmail has been around since 2004, when Google started its email service. It graduated to a full-fledged service in 2009, and is now widely used by schools, corporations, and individuals like you and me. During this class, we'll check out it’s features and hopefully discover some ways to tame the email beast. The course will cover: Gmail settings, accessing Gmail through web and mobile devices, using Gmail for POP or IMAP email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc), creating Gmail filters using labels and folders, utilizing Gmail tasks and Google Calendar (reminders, invitations), and personalizing Gmail. Prerequisites: Students should have a Gmail account and bring their own device/s for hands-on learning activities. Google provides instructions for setting up an account at https://goo.gl/kh2Kqm Lecture (plus Questions), Hands-On Activity (e.g., Computer, Art)
