2559 - A History of the European Union -- 1945 to Now
This course will take a look at the formation of the European Union as it evolved from the post-WW ll era (1945) to its present state. The course will study the various steps taken by European nations in their attempt to create a cooperative "union" of states following their experiences in WW l and WW ll. Eric Johnson was a high school history teacher for 40 years and is currently an Instructor in History in the Adult Evening Division of Mount Olive College. Eric taught Advanced Placement U.S. History for 25 years and has been a reader for the AP U.S. History exam. Eric has also taught AP European History. From 1988 - 2007 Eric taught at International Schools in Milan, Italy and Waterloo, Belgium. Eric relocated to Durham, NC in 2007.
