This course of study includes Principals and Agents, Sole Proprietorships, General Partnerships, Limited Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, the Rise of the Corporation, Creating a Corporation, the Participants in the Corporation, Financing the Corporation, Corporate Liability, and Terminating Corporate Existence.
This certificate is comprised of 3 required classes and one elective.

Graduates of the Duke Paralegal Certificate Program and Duke Paralegal Online Certificate Program are eligible to receive a $800 discount on each specialist certificate course. Tuition must be paid in full before a student can start the program. Books are purchased separately and range between $45 and $160 per book. Prerequisites
A degree or certificate in paralegal studies is required OR a bachelor's or associate's degree in any field AND a minimum of three years work experience as a paralegal under the direct supervision of an attorney.
