The employer-employee relationship is often the subject of conflict related to the rights of the employer and the employee. This course of study covers the establishment of the employment relationship, employee benefits, compensation regulations, job performance evaluation, terminating the employment relationship, discrimination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, age discrimination, race discrimination, sex discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Act, immigration, privacy issues, and safety regulations.

Tuition must be paid in full before a student can start the program. Books are purchased separately and range between $45 and $160 per book. A degree or certificate in paralegal studies is required OR a bachelor's or associate's degree in any field AND a minimum of three years work experience as a paralegal under the direct supervision of an attorney.
