The course will cover the basics of the human immune system, its development and components, as well as its function. We will also consider allergy, autoimmune diseases, immunizations, viral and bacterial infections, organ transplants, and immunotherapies in general. Time will be devoted to the understanding of cell structure and function, and the various types of blood cells associated with the immune system.
