Course Description

In this six-week course, we will begin with an exploration of modernism and the Mexican aesthetic. Then we will look at the life and work of Mexican modern artists Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and others. Our survey will conclude with a tour of the North Carolina Museum of Art special exhibition Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection.  Please note:  You can register just for the lectures (section 1) or sign up for the entire course (which includes the lectures and your choice of one gallery section).
